Story behind the song
Sometimes you just want to scream at someone, knowing that you'll feel better after you're done. Insanity, sometimes is just a manifestation of genius. This song has elements of "The Carmen Suite" along with some very sterophonic "Crimsonish" guitar. Joel and Chainsaw layered this quite well. However, the real impact is the hauniting melody of Kris and the maniacal impression Deena leaves in your brain.
Lyrics
I hear it calling through a haze
drifting slowly
I’m floating in a daze.
and when I feel it float over
like a stream, a living water
wakes me from my quiet dream
and flowers grow around me
a fragrance consuming, perfuming my head...
my mind...
Now I’m waking...
feeling...
what is this dread?
am I dead?
Tree that I was climbing,
each branch achievement made,
growing high and higher,
to the heavens....is that a gate
Valley filled with flowers
I stumble and I fall, downward I spiral
They weren't flowers after all.
In the sky I make out creatures changing them at will,
Then the teeth of darkness came biting at my heels.
Visions come,extracting colors
putting them here and there
Tails enhancing, as an object leaves the air.
I am here, let me out
Wild not free without a doubt
I"m still searching, can you see my pain?
What do they call me?
I can't remember my name!
I don’t know why I linger so...
it chills me to the bone...
so much for peace...
I am here, Let me out
Just don't call me insane
