Some times life will toss us around like a ship on a raging sea. We feel as if the world is crashing down on us and there is nothing we can do to avoid the pending impact. We have all felt this way at one time or another and what we do during this time is a measurement of our faith in God. Remember when Jesus and his disciples were on a boat and the waves began to crash? The disciples became terrified because of the situation that was before them. The sea was trying its best to consume them, yet Jesus slept while all of this was going on around Him.
