Instrumental Guitar Rock, with a blues and heavy metal influence.
Individually, I play instrumental guitar rock, with a strong blues influence. I also play in a local band that does classic and contemporary rock covers. It was awesome to do some dueling guitars with Kerry! The band continues to amaze me with gigs we get. This year's highlight has to be opening for Eddie Money. As I looked out into the crowd there were thousands of people as far as I could see ... and they were there to Rock! What an incredible experience! This year I can also add cancer survivor to my resume - lol as if my little bout is worth mentioning. I guess the point is, we're only here for a little while so make the best of it! Rock on!Todd

Story behind the song
Funk: An American music genre originating in the late 1960s blending soul music, soul jazz and R&B into a rhythmic, danceable form of music. Funk de-emphasizes melody and harmony and brings a strong rhythmic groove of electric bass and drums to the foreground. Funk songs are often based on an extended vamp on a single chord, distinguishing it from R&B and soul songs centered around chord progressions.
