Lyrics
The state of this planet is dragging me down. The hope of our nation is slipping away what we can do. Political, social, religious, environmental things going wrong. Sexual viewpoints, economic initiatives. Reasons to give up our rights. A way for us to feed the billions breathing. A way for us to feed the billions to come. Those who won’t rest till religion rules all. Those who won’t rest till religion is gone. I am sick of everybody fighting. Over things that have so little importance. I’m sick of being surrounded by a world of ignorance, hate, bigotry and greed. Join me in raising a glass to a world where the world crumbles under our feet. Join me in shouting that we’ll love it regardless. But everything is getting sh** . This is my therapy, this is my release. This is me coping with the sh** you’ve thrown at me. We’ve been screwed over by your wars. Your viewpoints we don’t want because it doesn’t matter if you believe in God as long as you believe in love. A broken heart but still standing strong. To write my name in this wreck. Why can’t we make progress we’re all moving backwards. What are you working for? Fighting your corner with all of your power. The people stand up too. But they’ve been misguided and it leads to violence. Another step back through. Do you remember we stood at the beach and watched and thought our lives were perfectly sculpted a fresh path laid out. But the weeds are taking toll. Inevitably our world’s not the same. And now you’ve torn the system down to build your throne and crown.
