Forlorn Remembrance was formed in September 2008 by Alexander Larsson after departing from his previous band due to musical differences. The intention behind Forlorn Remembrance is to create a musical mix of various genres including extreme metal, progressive metal and soft non-metal parts including acoustic guitars, piano, violin and clean vocals and a variety of other strange influences to form a unique and original sound.

Lyrics
Life was never meant to fail this way Laid to rest beneath your shattered skies Beneath the empty wastes A blank face resides Tranquil days are since long gone The silent screams of a thousand Vivid memories awaken An echo resembles our death A glimpse of our past, now fading away And we Feel the earth crumble beneath us Night time falls upon these silent days And everything is getting colder... Gloomy forests burned to ashes Futile dirges sung in despair Eerie darkness breeding desperation Life was never meant to end this way Laid to rest beneath your shattered skies Darkness is finally Changing the world Cities perished from the surface Once so precious, now all gone No one to save you from your doom Smoke rising from the ruins (Behold your world drowning in flames) The world has faced its final holocaust The world, laid to rest beneath its shattered skies Laid to rest
