Lyrics
The Night the Clocks Stopped
V1
Memory endures in a photograph
A fragment of life trapped in a frame
A luminous smile across your face
Reminds me you are no longer in pain
But time passing can’t revive the dead
And a photograph can’t hold the soul
That passed away that lonely night
When I received that fatal call
Chorus
And now all the clocks have stopped
The hands sustain at 3:14
The fateful moment I found you gone
And innocent life snuffed out so young
V2
Memory endures in the words you said
An echo of life trapped in my brain
The passion that your voice held
Helps me to cope with all the pain
But time passing can’t revive the dead
And a few words said can’t hold the soul
That passed away that lonely night
When I received that fatal call
Bridge
Sometimes I want to break a mirror
And find you on the other side
But broken glass and bloody fists
Can’t reverse the way you died
Time stood still that night
As I felt the pain of loss
And you passed into heaven
As your heart stopped with the clocks
