Final mixdown of an 'Indie Rock' style, extended remix of Fireflies. Tried to give it a heavier 'feel' with guitar augmentations and extended track time while trying to retain the original feel as much as possible.

A Melodic, Mellow, Electronic, Instrumental Journey via songs without words...The Art Of Sound.
"The Art Of Sound is the sound of one man..... who strives to put melody back in the forefront of songs without words. Gentle, mellow rhythmic lines that interwine with soulful melodies.. you find yourself humming hours later..." The Art Of Sound was originally formed back in England in the mid 70's as a group of people who wanted to promote the use of synthesizers in both modern and classical music. Later on the group split up and went their separate ways but one founder member, Nigel Sixsmith, carried on working, under the name "The Art Of Sound", writing and performing music for the Synthesizer for over 30 years.. This webpage has been set up for him to share some of the many songs he has written in the hope that others will find as much enjoyment listening to his music as he has making it..

Story behind the song
Firstly, massive thanks to Adam Young & Universal Republic!!! First mixdown of an 'Indie Rock' style, extended remix of Fireflies. Tried to give it a heavier 'feel' with guitar augmentations and extended track time while trying to retain the original feel as much as possible. I only had the original track to work with so I had no choice but to work in the original mix as part of the end result. No real guitars were harmed or played in the making of this track. Plugins used are LPC, Kore 2, Amplitube 3 and Miroslav Philharmonik along with a few Apple drum loops, Apple FX plugins and many hours of eq'ing & editing! The lead guitar solo and cello parts were played live with minimal post editing to retain a 'live' feel....Hey.. I'm no guitarist (or cellist for that matter!!) but I kinda like it! Does it work for you too?
