by Mark Courter. A twist on an old blues theme, this guy is so lucky he doesn't know what to do with himself. My influences are obvious in this one, and I hope I do them justice. I do all guitars, bass, vocals, drums, and mix. It is not Mastered.

Everybody and their brother is doing it now: writing, performing and recording at home. I do it, and, in fact, my brother does too. In my case, I play guitar, bass, dabble with keyboards, mandolin, and banjo, and sing. Furthermore, I've even built two my guitars and a bass, that last of which I gave to my brother. I do it all for fun and the love of music, with no commercial aspirations whatsoever.. My gratitude to the people at the Cakewalk Forum for all their valuable advice and criticism.

Lyrics
You think it's easy being me But you got a lot to learn Oh sure I'm young, good lookin too With lots of cash to burn With just one glance you can see I'm big and plenty strong And when a woman looks at me I know she's lookin long But there's more here than meets the eye On that one you can bet Cuz I'm more than just a pretty face But I ain't nobody's pet When I was born a shooting star Streaked across the sky My mama made some kind of sign (they said she had the Eye) It's just some kind of crazy luck That makes me what I am Whatever it is, it seems I'm stuck I'm just a lucky man But don't you get the notion To make me toe your line Cuz I'd surely walk away from it all And you know I'd do just fine I'll draw my card to the inside straight Pick a pony that's for sure Let it ride on double zero And come on back for more But that don't give me such a thrill Not where I set the bar The only time I get my thrill Is when I grab this here guitar And when I get back home I know There's a woman who will stand Right by my side and tolerate This blues playin guitar man

Love it Mark, your vocals are sounding exceptionally good on this one and the guitar, well, what can I say except for that I'm jealous!! Can't believe you put together something that sounds this good without any special mixing or preliminary mastering. Great job and I suuuuuure do miss your guitar leads in my songs!
