acoustic laden home recordings with ripples of psychedelic pop.
Monotype is not so much a band as merely one person masquerading as such, occasionly an assorted rabble of cohorts will aid and abet him in such thom foolery, but for the most part he is a lone rider leaving a trail of dust in his wake across the plains of this superhighway. Musically the demos have been described as rustic, see dictionary defination for further info:- rustic; (adj) 1/ Of, relating to, or typical of country life or country people. See Synonyms at rural. 2/ a)Lacking refinement or elegance; coarse. b)Charmingly simple or unsophisticated. 3/ Made of unfinished or roughly finished wood: rustic furniture. 4/ Having a rough or textured appearance; rusticated. Used of masonry. The songs themselves are recorded on an eight track recorder once they have made the transition from my head.

Story behind the song
I was listening to far too much Leonard Cohen when writing this song, and my dietry requirements were three feedings of songs of love and hate a day! I have no idea if this comes across.... song recorded on a nylon strung guitar of course, a cheap but charming affair!
Lyrics
And the night is as dead as stone, at least to you and to you alone, and the calls arn't received by your ear, and they assemble in the same old haunts, and lie disabled by their own thoughts, of finding something new in here, But I don't want to lose you tonight, but I find it happening, no, I don't wanna lose you to them.... Retract the statement that you made to her, but you can't take away what it meant to infer, there's a place we can both go to forget, Lets poison our minds with one more cup, but one more is never enough, we can't rewind but we can sometimes reset, Retract the statement that you made to her, but you can't take away what it meant to infer, there's a place we can both go to forget, and the night is as dead as stone.......as dead as stone....
