Story behind the song

I was really torn about how I wanted this song to sound.  Should it be orchestral, alomst heroic, like you're preparing for a grand adventure?  Or should it be more modern, to go along with the game's modern-day setting?  I decided on a more modern sound in this case; besides, it's not like a modern sounding song can't also be heroic, right?
