A very catching rhythm with harmonic vocals. Yeah, it's a pop tune that focuses on a very deep reflection.

All of the material is written, produced, mixed, and performed by one person...a lot of work, indeed! Pending on which instrument the song begins on typically shapes its outcome/genre. There is lots of variation here, by design. However, the future material will aim a bit more at the blues-rock stuff that gets me going...with a touch of keys. Truth be known, I started out on the organ/piano when I was young and enjoy sitting back and playing on the black and whites. However, the Strat and me have this thing about innovating over a funky bass.

Story behind the song
This song begins with an actual wave from Pacifica, CA; ends with the same wave crashing. In between it all, the song discusses a period of reflection that takes place around the surrounding area. The lyrics might appear simplistic, by map to a deeper meaning.
Lyrics
When I take a walk in Pacifica I always begin on Palmetto Drive As I go 'round the beauty that surrounds me The place that I start off is the one that I arrive The air is fresh and the sky is blue Sometimes it's foggy, but it leaves its dew But, a change is welcome- like me and you It's like the waves I hear crashing- can you hear them, too? So my legs move my body 'round the neighborhood People stop and ask me to be understood I help them find the places that they seek Maybe a restaurant, maybe a beach When I get to the pier I stop and take it in So nature can reveal where I might begin To contemplate the meaning of this wondrous place You can see it in my eyes; you can see it in my face The seagulls roam around and take care of their young While the surfers moves make it look like fun And the fishermen cast their lines out to the sea They're not fishing for you or me! I head back to my place right near the sea And ponder the meaning of you and me As I use what I've learned along the way I become more enlightened in every way! The air is fresh and the sky is blue Sometimes it's foggy, but it leaves its dew But, a change is welcome- like me and you It's like the waves I hear crashing- can you hear them, too?
