A look at the bright side of the Darkside, from the other side!
Just your typical bunch of metal heads. UPDATE: We thought we were just your average metal garage band, but somehow we seem to be evolving into a Shock Rock, Death Metal band. We had been doing covers until we found Soundclick. We had to start writing original stuff, and our first tune was like an uptempo love song, but everything else has come out a bit on the dark side. It wasn't intentional, and our songs certainly don't glorify death, or the darkside either, in fact our point of view seems to be that of those affected by tragedy. We still don't know exactly where we're headed, but I guess we'll find out when we get there...

Story behind the song
Since we're all happy go lucky types, the only explanation we can come up with for this one is that our dads played the Bloodrock "D.O.A." album a few too many times when we were babies. :-)
Lyrics
He sits by the phone expectantly, waiting on her call He can't bring himself to believe that she's truly gone He tries to rationalize like so many do That it's only temporary and she'll be back soon He tells himself that, after all, it hasn't been that long Her clothes are still in the closet, her coat hangs in the hall She didn't even leave a note, she didn't say good bye They didn't even have a fight, so there's no reason why [chorus] But she's gone, yes she's gone she left just yesterday No way to reach her now, cause she's so far away No way to say, "I'm sorry.", no way to ask her why No rhyme or reason for it all, no chance to say good bye A knock at the door, the officer says, "Sir, we found your wife" Oh thank God, he sighs, she didn't come home last night The officer says, "She's dead. I'm really sorry sir" "A single gunshot to the head, it was clearly suicide" He cries out, "My God this can't be true, I just don't understand! I thought she was happy with our life, how can I tell the kids? He screams inside in silent pain, in shock and disbelief He falls to his knees weeping overcome with grief
