Acoustic guitar and vocal.
Mandolin, guitar and saxophone player. Recreational song writing and desktop recording is my fun.
Story behind the song
This song was written by myself and an old friend, Keith Overstreet, via email. It was a fun experience dashing verses and lines back and forth. I am an elementary music teacher and had some childrens images in my head that I needed to get down on paper.
Lyrics
I'm bright fairy tales, lemonade sales
Puppy dog noses, sniffin' your roses
I'm pink bubble gum, a red Kool-Aid® tongue
Skipping a rope, with a heart full of hope oo oo oo
Chorus:
Shout------ join in and have fun
Dance little children, and play in the sun
Shout------ join in and have fun
Up and down and all around this little town--everyone
I'm scissors and glue, keep tying my shoe
Toes in the sandbox, mud pies and bright rocks
I'm climbing a tree, blue Band-Aid® on knee
A hug in the night, a big pillow fight oo oo oo
