On Oct. 23 1981, Deja is born in Zuerich, Switzerland into a middle class family . Music influenced his life early, from his parents listening to artists such as;Tracy Chapman, Deep Purple, Herbert Groenemeier, Led Zeppelin. Making it through school. and some post-secondary in the social work field, Deja got married. After getting married, the Zuerich battling and freestyle scene became an everyday part of life. With that came an in depth involvment with street life, hustling and drugs for the next 4years, Deja was you could say, "Ayo with the Yayo". There was 2 yrs spent with no rap in his life at all, everything was lost to drugs, and then cocaine turned into crack. Deja made the decision to get help, and spent 2 months at the Edgewood treatment facility in Nanaimo. He turned to his spiritual beliefs and strength, to sucessfully complete the program. Life had a few more in store for Deja who went through a divorce and a few relapses after treatment. After everything he'd survived, Deja packed up and moved from Fraser Lake, BC to Vancouver. This was to be the best choice he had made for his dreams to come true. Just about to graduate from Recording & Sound Desgin from Columbia Academy, his producing talents are on fire these days. Career wise Deja is living his dream working as Youth Care Counselor, and an Hip Hop Workshop Instructor with street entrenched youth. During his weekly workshop Deja teaches software such as; Reason and Pro Tools, works 1:1 writing songs/beats, and more! There are many late nights spent in the home studio, with his girlfriend by his side supporting him, working over nights then heading straight to school, but soldiers are built strong.
