Story behind the song
I was getting into funk rhythm section stuff, and really wanted to come up with a good funk drum part with my little Alesis drum machine. I figured out how to get some fairly convincing ghost notes, and was able to do some pretty neat things with that drum machine. This song was completely based around the open string arpeggiated chorus. The verse riffs are just A and D, really simple, and the bass line is one take.
