Sleep Distance is my ambient/electronic music project. I am a guitarist, and I like incorporating synths and ambient guitar sounds in my music. I also very much enjoy Michael Manring's fretless bass pieces, and so I play some fretless bass in a few of my compositions. Some of my pieces are a little more composed, others are largely improvised.

Story behind the song
The original version of this song was composed in 1988. At that time it consisted of just the synth washes, with me playing guitar over them. I made a few updates to the song in the last couple of years. The little sequenced synth tracks and the drum track were added in the last couple of years. I thought fretless bass might work well over the song, instead of electric guitar, as in the first version of the song.
