Hi. I'm Scott. I am a solo Christian songwriter/recording artist. I have been playing a variety of instruments since I was six years old. I was saved (I gave my heart to Jesus, and he forgave my sins) when I was 16 and my life has never been the same. I have come to know Jesus on a very personal level, and He has placed a calling on my life to use the talents He's given me for His glory, so that's what I'm doing. I play all of the music that you will hear in these songs; guitars, drums, bass guitar, tambourine, keyboard. . . well, you get the picture! Story behind the song
God gave me these lyrics on the way home one evening. The story just "popped" into my head and I wrote it down as soon as I got home. The music came a few weeks later, but was different than what I had originally planned. I think it turned out rather unique. Revisions coming.

So Im sittin around the house feeling down on my luck Im lookin thru my pockets, man; I cant even find a buck! I look up and I sees this show playin on cable TV Its a story bout a dude thats broke, man, hes broker than me! I watch it for a while to check out his sitiation His life looks familiar; its got all sorts of complications He finally comes across a good way he thinks hell get some dough Hes thought long and hard, now hes gonna sell his soul! That dont sound too bad, Im sittin here thinkin It sure beats worrying all the time, which sometimes leads to drinkin! My life would be the price to pay, but thats such a small fee I sold my soul to Jesus when I got down on my knees -Chorus 1- I sold my soul to Jesus. Things will never be the same Hes borne my sin and hunger. He already took my pain The desperation of the life I knew-Ill never feel again Because the price He paid for me has given me eternity with Him So dont love your life here in this temporary world Dont place value on horses or houses or pearls With His blood, He paid the price.
