Greensleeves is my contribution to Holiday music. I don't do much Holiday music. But this is a nice tune. It includes synth piano, string section, vibes and live soprano sax.
Just an old man having fun.
I just started this page to have a place to post clips where friends can find them. I play light "old school" (because I am old) jazz on several instruments. I started recently recording clips on a laptop using a good mic to compare the sounds of different setups for the saxes. I only have one clip at the moment that does not use copyrighted songs. I'll get busy and do some more.

Story behind the song
I just thought I'd try this song. Always have liked it. With a little manipulation the keyboard gave a nice background. I used the Meyer Mouthpiece on the soprano for a broad, melodic sound. A few decades back, I did a favor for a firend whose son came back messed up from 'Nam. I started a little group with his son on drums. It was late fall so we played a lot of Christmas Music at Recording Fund concerts to get going. I had picked up my kid's alto sax to play with my tenor sax, trombone, trumpet and fluglehorn. The alto being in Eb gave me some trouble. For some reason I never figured out, my wife gave me lots of trouble. After the New years gig I ended up retiring from music at 37 and hating Xmas music. So it goes.
