Story behind the song
While in a band, we were working on putting music to one of the vocalist's spoken word pieces, called "The Chameleon". The Chameleon had three parts to it, and thus needed three musically different ideas. I threw in a riff from a song I had given the band a demo of, but slowed it down drastically. One down. A jam with a Beck'ish feel and Rhodes parts triggered by the guitar synth took care of the second one, and that's where we were stuck. Nothing else worked, and we needed something for it. While noodling around with guitar synth sounds, I came up with a riff right out of the blue while using a B3 organ patch. It stuck, but the organ patch was scrapped for clean guitar. "Camera Three" is that riff, demoed with a different feel and acoustics. I know where I want this to go from here, I just have to record it.
