Shane's original music can be pigeonholed as "Americana", but it is a fusion of alt-country, blues, folk, with a little rock thrown in for fun. More good news re Our Music and Prospects We have 2 songs submissions into the 2011_2012 International Songwriters Competition [ISC]. Winners are decided by a panel of judges from a wide variety of the music industry and not directly from any public involvement. So hopefully you can see this note from me to you is an expression of thanks, that’s it and nothing else. From your longstanding support given to my musical efforts, you are and always have been the best to me and will never ever be forgotten. O'Briens Edge refers to the Support group of musicians for Shane O'Brien. Since late 2000 up to 2009, O'Briens Edge has had 5 key members pass away, for various causes... Each of the individual five members had been key contributors for the ongoing development of Shane's creative freedoms ir regards to writing and actual delivery on his particular slant of music.
   2000, 2004, 2008, 2008 and 2009 were years that these fine men and musicians graduated to the become members of the best band ever in heaven...
   This songs I wrote as a tribute to how each member contributed and influenced my music forever...
