Lyrics
My Heart Remembers 2008 Bobby Rennert Echoes stir the dust in this silence as I walk across the wooden floor. Squares of faded paint on empty walls... Our memories don't hang there anymore. It's been years since you gave up and left me packed your bags and moved out of town. I'm listen for you as I look at our past but footsteps are the only sound. I've forgotten how your hair was the color of sunshine Can't recall how your kisses made me weak.. Used to know the blue of the ocean in your eyes and the way your body moved beneath the sheets. But too many Aprils have poured out their tears and It's snowed for too many Decembers. I don't know what it's like to love you anymore I've forgotten, but my heart remembers. I've forgotten, but my heart remembers. Funny, what it takes to bring on change... how much a man can lose before he'll win. Or how he'll pour his life out of a bottle then wonder why it's empty in the end. But you were gone before the drinkin' ended before I found what I was runnin' from. Sometimes it takes startin' over again to know how far you've really come. Time has a way with hearts but the wounds are slow to heal And long after love has gone there's still something left to feel. But too many Aprils have poured out their tears and It's snowed for too many Decembers. I don't know what it's like to love you anymore I've forgotten, but my heart remembers. I've forgotten, but my heart remembers.
