Lyrics
sit tight, im a coming for you dont worry, we'll fly to the moon sometime hold me like a prisoner's guide console me like the desert sky im cold from the midnight ride into the neon we go afraid of no one's eyes liberation is needed to move away from this ravaged town theres nothing left to do so just smile and laugh about it so just smile and laugh about it or you'll never know you'll never never know you'll never never know you'll never never know you'll never never know how it feels oh how it feels to be your own guide sing loud, up into the light hold on, lets put up a fight or die head north, and look to the stars then turn inside my eyes are searching for you too scared to cry afraid of no one's eyes liberation is needed to move away from this ravaged town theres nothing left to do so just smile and laugh about it so just smile and laugh about it or you'll never know you'll never never know you'll never never know you'll never never know you'll never never know how it feels oh how it feels so just smile and laugh about it oh you just smile and laugh about it sing loud, up into the light hold on, lets put up a fight or die

Wake of Destruction
Dec 21, 2009
Hillis, this is your best track thus far. The drums are really tight and eq'd really nicely. The guitars sound good although they should be mixed with a have a bit more sparkle i think. The lyrics are good in spots and not so much in others. The vocal performance is the smoothest and most within yourself I've heard. Which is a definite improvement! Now I'd like to see them eq'd a bit less bassy and harmonies in one or two choice spots plus stacks on the choruses. Spend a bit more time on your lyrics. You've clearly been studying production techniques now its time to read smoe good poetry and work on writing catchy and good songs. One criticism... as usual, you end up sounding a bit too much like an influence... i.e. strokes/killers.
