This song was written as a couple of guitar pieces by "Chainsaw" and Joel and Chainsaw strung them together one night and in a few hours put down a tune. Joel knocked out the keys in one sitting. Robert did the drums in one take also. DaveT hadn't joined the band yet so Joel also did the bass one afternoon. Kris later wrote the lyrics on one of her song Benders, not to be confused with a Big Bender. However, we've been known to go on those too.
