Story behind the song
A song that I wrote and recorded maybe 7 or 8 years ago. Just shortly after my separation from my ex-wife. The song sounds somewhat happy, but an obvious sadness is evident. Kind of how I felt anytime things would be going alright for me at the time, there would always be some sad shadow hanging over it. Hence, the title. All the different instruments were recorded through a Boss GT-6, great pedal, and then DI right into a 16 track as stereo tracks (except the bass). Not a great song, but I've always been fond of it.
