Story behind the song
Composed on acoustic guitar, turned out to be a better piano song instead. Uses string bass alternating with a strat, and a volume pedal for the swells in the solo. Recorded on the Venerable 144 Portastudio (4 track).
Lyrics
Someday when a heart has a dream to share all it needs is just someone to care Someday will it be someone like you can you make this old heart feel new I wish every day was someday then I’d know that you were always near If every day was someday then someday I’ll see you standing here Someday when the hopes that we hide away have a chance to see the light of day Someday will it be back to you and me in the light you and I might see I wish every day was someday then I’d know that you were always near If every day was someday then someday I’ll see you standing here Someday when the sun dries out the rain I will learn to open up my heart again Someday when you see the tears in my eyes that’s when the sadness in me dies I wish every day was someday then I’d know that you were always near If every day was someday then someday I’ll see you standing here Then someday I’ll see you standing here
