This was recorded using a Seagull 12 string acoustic for rhythm and a Baby Taylor acoustic for lead guitar. I originally recorded this song in 2000 but did not like the quality of the recording and felt it didn't do the song justice.

Story behind the song
In March of 2000, my wife & I were expecting a baby. She went in for a routine Ob-Gyn visit & they couldn't find a heart beat. This was on a Friday & they couldn't do a D&C until Monday. On Saturday, night she miscarried & was having excessive bleeding & underwent an emergent D&C early Sunday morning. This song recounts this experience and some of the pain & questions raised about life and death.

Hi Marlan, Very touching song! it touched my heart as i lost a fourth child and my child i found out was messed up but still tried to carry him. He would be 19 today if he lived!
