Check out our latest tune Nomophobia, Where's your phone? I bet you're touching it right now. We hope you enjoy this upbeat stab at the agony of loosing your phone. How long can you go before the symptoms set in?
Thank you for your support, making "Rolling In Clover" a Soundclick top 100 song in Alt-Rock and a top ten in "Alt Power Pop". We spent a lot of time and effort bringing this tune here and learned a lot along the way. Hopefully in the future, all of our musical endeavors will reflect a continuing improvement in appeal and quality, reflecting the lessons learned with each attempt.
L. A. Long keyboards, adding mostly synth and electronic sounds/effects. Mike Hanrahan contributes the guitar and rock sounds to the band.
For Spare Me, Pete Dannenfelser did the Bass guitar. Thanks Pete! Hopefully Pete will be on some of our future takes. Here's Pete's SC site, he has some great stuff as well:
We hope you enjoy the tunes and thanks for listening!
Story behind the song
How blanketing laws to cover every possible scenario is leaving us free from social responsibility and the burdens of personal liberty. While the political elite fight over their slices of the pie, totally oblivious to the public they are suppose to represent. Additional comparisons to "1984" a fictional story where the central government lies about production and re-writes history. The "denial" part, is reference to when we do the same to alter our motives after the fact, in order to make them justified and acceptable.
Lyrics
(Movie clip)
"This is one man's alarmed vision of the future.
A future which he felt, might,
with such dangerous ease,
come about."
(Verse 1)
Tell me, have we lost our way?
Can you see, what's going down?
Corruption taking hold.
Bargains and backroom deals.
Just look around.
Have we forgotten where we've been?
Destined to repeat again.
It's our recurring sin.
A system full of greed.
Sifting the ashes for something that's real.
Searching for truth in the static we share.
A barren landscape with no obvious life.
Miles of vacuum with nothing to touch.
Technically human emotionally lost.
We only want to share in the terrible news.
Not that anyone cares.
(Chorus)
Falling; Delusional, amenities,
Falling; Illusion, necessities
Falling down, existing to survive,
Falling down, for an eternal while.
Falling; Sympathetic, thievery
Falling; Fraudulent, authority
Falling Down, Evidence of the trial.
Falling Down, America in denial
(Bridge, movie clip)
"This in 1984"
(Verse 2)
Why listen to what they say
It's all lies anyway.
They fiddle as we bleed.
We're living on our knees,
Lost liberty.
A crooked circus of demented clowns,
who shake us down
An endless spending spree,
designed to fill their needs.
We give up our freedom, give up our rights
Just to feel safe and cozy at night.
Don't tell us that "it's alright".
Take a number.
Surrender your keys, have faith in the man.
Hidden aspects, of the master plan.
A habit of compliance.
Take a number.
Stand in line.
(Chorus)
Falling; Delusional, amenities,
Falling; Illusion, necessities.
Falling down, existing to survive,
Falling down for an eternal while.
Falling; Sympathetic, thievery
Falling; Fraudulent, authority
Falling down, Evidence of the trial.
Falling down, America in denial
(Synth solo)
(Guitar solo)
(Ending movie clip)
"This irregularity has been recorded, return to your cubicle Smith."
