This song was written on a dreamlike template complete with a set of relatively optimistic lyrics in the chorus (pure piano section) accompanied by ambivalent lyrics in the verses. From a writer's perspective, I can say an influence from the Melon Collie era of the Smashing Pumpkins is relevant to this piece.
