Story behind the song
This song began as a frantic dash to meet the 7:00 pm deadline for a songwriting group I participate in. The title came from a music producer referring to an emerging vocalist. He said that her voice was a€œundeniable.a€ I thought that would make a good title for a clear, uplifting pop song. Of course it got quantum folk-ified in the studio. I hear some Death Cab for Cutie, Amy Winehouse and Righteous Brothers in this tune.
This song went through numerous revisions but I ended up using the second draft, scribbled while I watched the clock. The song is itself a mesh of two tunes and I love the bridge especially.
