To Erick, the blues is the best genre for the ERICK HOVEY BAND to express themselves in, but isn’t limiting to his fertile imagination in arranging and peppering the music with seasonings of jazz, funk, old power trio rock, and newer folk fusion styles. everything blends together. Erick’s music takes the myriad of blues styles, THEN, fuses lyrical content that has not only good humored nods towards classic blues and rock clichés’, but spans the afterlife, and existentialism as well. Sometimes it’s spooky, sometimes it’s raw, spiritual, and sensual everything for the purist and the novice as well. The ERICK HOVEY BAND members include Jeff Foreman on drums, Doug Hines on keys, Dan Lodden on bass, and Erick on guitar and vocals. This is a band who has been working together in every facet of the music business with the utmost professionalism for many years. The Erick Hovey band has created their own sound with their own songs and provides a unique listening experience that can be heard nowhere else.
