We are a hardcore/groovecore/melodic rock Christian band with a serious groove! Music with a message and a purpose!
THE RECYCLED SOULS ANNOUNCEMENT In October of 2000, Recycled Souls was born, and with it, I was given a vision to put together a band that would do great things for God. But what, by definition, is a “great thing”? Would it be selling millions of records and multiple world tours? It can bebut I also think that it’s going out and making a mark with the tools and gifts that He’s given you. That mark may be a single life changed for Jesusthat, to me, is a great thing. Jesus Christ was, is, and will always be the primary focus of what Recycled Souls stands for, a “no compromise” message. It’s amazing to look back and even listen to what we sounded like at first, to where we are now. Songs like Sleepwalker and Praise song with hints of Third Day. Being chosen as an alternate for the New Band Tournament with that sound our first year as a bandand in a sea of metal, win convincingly in the 1st roundwe were so shocked! And now Sleeping Underwater, Trying to Cope, So Tragic, and You Can’t Bring Me Downstraight up metal, what a progression.. God called us to reach out to a hurting world.so we did and we do. Literally hundreds of shows across 9 states, festivals and small arenas alike, airplay in most of those states, radio interviews, tv appearances, literally a worldwide fan base and fan club, The Recycling Crew. Getting to open for many of the biggest names in the music industry, making friends, fans, and loyal supportersbut most importantly.we saw lives changed for the kingdom of God. I couldn’t begin to tell you all the stories of salvations, rededications, and praise reports that we have seen on 4 tours. That’s what it’s all about right there.lives being changed for Jesus Christ. Through this amazing run, we have come to one conclusion. ALWAYS do as God calls you to do. Which means.it is time for Recycled Souls to say goodbye. Our time is finished. We cannot begin to thank the many people who have loved this band, prayed for us, supported us, and stood by us through member changes and every single thing that we have ever done. From the sea of Recycled Souls shirts at the Disciple show at the Edge.shouting the words to Immortal and Depthand that’s just but one of thousands upon thousands of memories we share. You know it blows you away when one of our heroes.Kevin from Disciple comes up to you and says.”Manyou guys have some crazy devoted fans!” Thank you so much for buying the cd’svoting for us on Tulsa Trax, coming out to the shows, and for allowing us to do what we love. You guys are simply the best. Thank you to the Kross, for all of their support, and the many bands that we were so honored and blessed to share the stages with and to the many bands that not only played with us, but we forged friendships in Christ with. Thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts. I personally want to thank the current and former members of Recycled Souls. You all are my brothers and best of friends. I love you like my family. Thank you for making memorable music that meant something and for sharing in God’s vision for RS. Original Lineup Brady Deaton Lead Guitar Jeff Courtney Lead Guitar Brandon McManus Bass Eric Riemer - Bass Brent Buckner Drums Ransom Conner Bass And the Current Lineup: Anthony Hinton Drums Andrew Schanck Lead Guitar David O’Dell Bass It has been a fantastic ride, but there comes a time that eventually, all rides come to an end and you get offbut you’re left with fond memories. We are leaving up the Myspace as a fan sitewe hope you visit it often, whenever you need an RS memory. We are also releasing Darkest Hour todayour new cdas our way of saying goodbye. It is available now for just $5 and that gets you 7 songs. Contact me for details at: eddie@recycledsouls.com It’s our best cd yet.you won’t want to miss it. And I have a few surprises for all of the hardcore RS fans out there in the very near future. We are laying it down, not begrudgingly, not because we hate each other or are even mad at each otherbut we are and will continue to be the best of friends. We also believe that you should retire something gracefully, and God has released us to retire Recycled Souls gracefully. We are so pleased with the mark that will be left behind and through Him, we accomplished a lot for 4 guys from Tulsa. Heaven’s population was increased due to us remaining obedient and proclaiming the name of Jesus, and that is what ultimately matters the most. We love you and thank you again for letting us rock out with all of you, for Jesus, for 6 years. We pray that you remember 2 things when you think of Recycled Souls: That first and foremost we loved and served God with all of our hearts, we really walked the talkand that we rocked your faces off!!!! Be blessed hardcore!!!!!!!!!!!! Sincerely in Christ, Recycled Souls 2000-2006 R.I.P.

Story behind the song
So many people want to wait to make a decision, especially when it comes to salvation, What are you waiting for?
Lyrics
What R U Waiting For? Written by: Eddie Green ©2002 RS Music Verse I When I looked into her empty eyes so cold There was a story of love long lost… A life filled with lies and deceit Only ½ truths and empty promises The time was not so long ago That this angel fell to the ground Someone had been there to catch her when she falls But this time no one was around Chorus: What are you waiting for…..what are you waiting for? For Him to come crawling to you, begging at your door? For you to live your life, but not for Him, yet He still forgives? What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? Verse II Life is full of decisions… some we never make “Now I lay me down to sleep I pray the Lord my soul to take” She prayed that prayer as her duty each and every day Just idle words spoken in vain “Do you know Him?” she was asked, time and time again “I’m just not ready, but I’ll know when.” It was over, yes it was over in an instant And her “when” never came…. Repeat chorus x2
