Story behind the song
See, it's a quarter of a century that these killers are only fighting, cursing, killing and torturing our New generation, how could we do anything but showing them to resign from the servant posts. The creature look alike man who translated the page of savagery from arabic to Parsi already lost his own right hand and he better know his best choice is to go to Dubai and stay there!
Lyrics
Between the true knower and the blind imitator there are (great) differences, for the former is like David, while the other is (but) an echo. The source of the former's words is a glow (of feeling), whereas the imitator is one who learns things (by rote). When knowledge strikes on the heart (is aquired through mystical experience), it becomes a helper, when knowledge strikes on the body ( is acquired through senses), it becomes a burden. Pahlavi is the Original language of Masnavi . The above lines are excerpt from Life and Work of Rumi by Afzal Eghbaal for a Free Iran.
