Alt rock with a touch of the Caribbean.
PorticO started as a studio project we worked on between paying clients. After we had a few tunes in the can we decided to put out a full length album. We had fun experimenting with alternative beats that strayed from the usual boom boom chick, boom boom chick of rock and roll. Latin a Caribbean beats have so much life to them! The result was something that is very cool!

Story behind the song
This is the only song I've ever written without my guitar in hand. I was stuck in Minneapolis traffic and thinking about the daily squabbles I have with my beautiful daughter when the words just came to me...
Lyrics
Stay Where You Are C.Willms © 2002 I wasn’t wrong, you were not listening I told you I’d always be there For once in my life I’m afraid for you girl Forgive me if life isn’t fair There must be something, must be something there Intangible qualities I oversaw There’s got to be something, something we two can share I give it a little… now you want; now you want Now you want it all Stay where you are, I’m on my way Stay where you are, I come today Stay where you are I’m coming home… No where to go, no one will miss me You told me I am not the one I get on my knees just to beg for you girl Convince me it’s over and done There must be something, must be something there Intangible qualities you oversaw There’s got to be something, something we two can share You give it a little now I want; now I want Now I want it all Stay where you are, I’m on my way Stay where you are, I come today Stay where you are I’m coming home… I’m coming home… I'm telling you something, I'm feeling it in the air. Nothing can stop this heart of mine Stay where you are, I’m on my way Stay where you are, I come today Stay where you are, I’m on my way Stay where you are I’m coming home… I’m coming home…
