John Garrett and Jeff Brown have been composing music together since they attended high school. They have a huge backlog of material and have written songs in many different styles.
Story behind the song
A Jeff Brown Solo song that came about only beacause I wanted to try to push the technology I had at the time as hard as I possibly could. This was recorded compleatly on a old 386pc running at 25mhz. Pretty old stuff. I was able, after much frustrat...ion, able to get 2 soundcards up and running in 1 p.c., a feat at the time every computer guy I talked to said couldn't be done. For you Geeks out there this meant getting into DOS and opening the bios and assingning IRQ's properly something I couldn't begin to explain how to do today. Anyhoo, I had one soundcard that was capable of sampling (2 megs of memeory!) so I sampled all of the political qoutes from a Cd game we had called "NOW HEAR THIS" which used audio clues embedded on the CD for questions. Everything synthesizer wise is trigged from the guitar synth except the drums were programed from a keyboard. There are 2 Actual guitar parts, everything else is synthesizer guitar, including all of the political qoutes, triggerd from a guitar synth. Pretty cool to play your guitar and one note is Nixon, another Bush, another Carter, and so on. Sadly the song is little distorted at the end, but I am still proud that I was able to push a computer with less computing power than the average cell phone to do this.
