I sound like a chick with a guitar. I wish that the case were different. Maybe I will change...

Story behind the song
Conan Doyle is the author of the Sherlock Holmes series. he taught everyone how to observe. the song describes I how learned about a stranger whom I had wished could have become my friend. he wasn't into me, though. his name was Eric.
Lyrics
Somehow I caught on how to put two and two together Look around Only need to connect the dots Once I found that tiny piece of important information, I could not tease much less flirt with you Not at all Nothing spoiled Not for now I learned your name not from you But from the strictest observation Did the same to find out what it is you do No big deal Only need to keep my eyes and ears fairly open I can't help what it is that I do Conan Doyle taught me how But what I learned best came straight from you The contortion of your brow The way you're feeling, that's a fact Keeps me distant Just for now
