She Was Made To Be Played
Song based on Sonfight.org's "Made to Be Played" Challenge.
FDP Jam Tracks
This band page is going to be used for all of the jam tracks that have been posted by the FDP users at the "Home Recording" section at FenderForum.com. Check it out. Folks lay down basic bass/drums/guitar/effect tracks and allow users to add guitar and other parts. Pretty cool.
Story behind the song
Went over to www.songfight.org this morning and scanned through all the songs for the current songfight and then I saw the the next song was "Made to be played". The lyrics here were written in about 10 minutes, so I expect a major overhaul before it's done. I have until the 21st for the Songfight. I like to add some harmonies, clean up some diction and maybe play with the lead parts.
I am contrasting the light, happy chorus (major) with a darker, foreboding (and building) minor verse that seem to be about a totally different (and cryptic) subject. We'll see how it all turns out. This one is more music driven than lyric driven (I think).

She Was Made To Played
(c) Emmrich 2009
Kevin: vocals, acoustic guitar
BIAB: bass, drums, acoustic guitars, fiddle, soprano sax, piano
Janet and Kelly Emmrich: Backing Vocals
She was made to be played
it never felt like work
and when the games were over
we got our just desert
oh yea, oh yea .....
(verse)
Now I know what it feels like
got my hands upon the wheel
going down to peachtree
gonna make some kind of deal
(verse)
and when I get there
people gonna stop and stare
cause when you've got a job to do
you gotta see it through
(chorus)
she was made to be played
it never felt like work
and when the games were over
we got our just desert
oh yea, oh yea .....
(Instrumental verses)
(bridge)
I walking a fine line
I'm doing my thing
and now it's time
to do it all over again
(chorus)
she was made to be played
it never felt like work
and when the games were over
we got our just desert
oh yea, oh yea .....
