This piece is what Kevin calls a "musical journey." It took him forever to record because there are so many layers and sections to the piece. The inspiration for the piece was the album "Visions of the Emerald Beyond" by Mahavishnu Orchestra. Kevin combined many elements from that album--mixed meters, funky riffs, varied instrumentation and extended solos--to create the final track to his album "microjazz."
