Story behind the song
With all of the wars, recession, media oversaturation, political BS and just general bad news, sometimes you need to set aside your worries and just let the hippies dance!!
Lyrics
I'm so tired of talking about the war And what new disease ain't got no cure No more celebrity news - it's all giving me the blues We'd do things different if given another chance So let the hippies dance! Now everybody sing along Korea's got another bomb I can't talk now cause "Dancing with the Stars" is on 401(k)'s gone, guess it's time to pray! Lost my job? Oh well - I'm flat broke anyway! There's no use fighting healthcare Guess there's always welfare They treat me pretty good, so I guess I'll just stay there But I'd do it different if I had the chance I'd let the hippies dance!! Let the hippies dance! Hippies dancing all around, rain in their face And their hair is hanging down, they're moving in space They've even got me, I'm dancing all around I'm moving to the music while I'm plastered to the ground! Oh, take a chance - set your soul free let the hippies dance! Let the hippies dance!!

Nice job. I liked it a lot. I think that's cool that you can collaborate on different songs. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 all the way around was the lead guitar after the fiddle solo seemed a bit over the top and a little to heavy metalish for the song. Anyway, thought you might want to know why.

Hey Dave, a really fun tune and some hilarious lyrics. You guys accomplished a great collab on this one and you put it all together really well.
