Story behind the song

I was reading the book of Exodus and the amazing story of how God rescued the Israelites from years of bondage and captivity.  I was struck by Chapter 6 where God tells Moses to tell the people, "I am the Lord and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians...I will take you to be my people and I will be your God...WOW, our all powerful God wants to have a relationship with us.  I don't think we realize who's we are!!  LC
