Paul Allgood,Baxter Smith, and Lee Whitsel formerly comprised Chapel Hill, North Carolina's electro pop outfit Wedlock. They are best described as a combination of new disco, techno pop, and digital funk. They carved their own niche in the local dance scene with live instrumentation, while also incorporating strong personal and sometimes politically charged lyrics. Their full length,Continuity, was released in October 2009 and January 2010 saw Paul Allgood and Wedlock writing and producing The Blameless Ep for singer Br'yanna Rain as well as the release of their own latest EP in August.

Story behind the song
This song was directed at a former bandmate at the time it was written; now it has taken on a more universal theme of "good riddance," when you're simply better off without someone in your life-or you feel as if freeing yourself of that person gives you more of something be it space, room to grow, freedom.
Lyrics
Addition By Subtraction P.Allgood/B.Smith/L.Whitsel-BMI* *Jason Bowden(affiliation unknown) (c)2009 All Rights Reserved. What the hell do you take me for? I've got nothing left to thank you for you're one of my problems So make your destination Back where you came from And leave my situation. I've washed my hands, of your misery Life with you was comi-tragedy you've got a problem Go back to your medication Your paranoia, and mental masturbation. you're addition by subtraction And I don't care, now, what happens you're addition by subtraction And you're nothing, now, but distraction Insecurity is washed ashore Your words don't bother me anymore it's not my problem That I've declined your invitation To psycho parties, lies, and hallucination. A violent mental patient in need of examination. you're addition by subtraction And I don't care, now, 'cos it's happened. you're addition by subtraction And you're nothing now, but distraction. And I don't care at all about you- I'm better off without you.
