I'm a musician from Liverpool, England and have been playing guitar since I was 16, playing live since 18. I've traditionally concentrated on live work but recently started to develop an interest in computer recording. I still try to keep as much of a live feel as possible with my music, trying to record songs in such a way that the recordings and live versions sound as similar as possible.

Story behind the song
Another by my old band, Shinobi, recorded in Liverpool. Probably the song I'm most proud of writing, everything fell into place here for me, especially the BIG production and Vicky's powerful vocals. Unfortunately my solo went missing in the mix!! As often happens, the songs you write in 10 minutes can be your best. I was in a job where I HATED my boss (a woman). She'd do everything possible to make my life hell. So the song title and the lyrics are a play on words. 'Wrecks Monday' because she made my Mondays - and every other work day - terrible, and Rex Mundi is the Latin name for The Devil. The lyrics allude to the way I felt about her and include her name in there, which I don't think I'll share here! I wrote this on a Friday lunchtime at work, showed it to the band for the first time the following day and had all parts to this recorded and mixed by Saturday night. I wish I could do that with all of my songs!

Brilliant stuff...really great dark atmosphere. I can relate...I've clashed swords with people like this. Fantastic vocals and very soulful sound in the music.
