Song I wrote about someone who spends his life looking for something/someone better but left what may have been best behind many years ago. Sometimes you just never know....

Diverse and influenced by many different styles.
I am a one-man-band just experimenting in my home studio using Sonar and any instruments that are around here!

Story behind the song
A combination of personal experience and the experiences of a few others that I have run across in my days... This song was recorded on Christmas Day 2003. I recorded the fingerpicked rhythm guitar part and just built it up from there. The next thing I knew there was a country sort of thing happening so I came up with some lyrics that have sort of a western twist. I recorded this through an old SoundBlaster card in an old version of Cakewalk - I'm suprised it sounds as good as it does (which isn't great) considering I didn't know what the heck I was doing!
Lyrics
The Last Honest Man by Gary Griffo The Last Honest Man, he went looking Riding hard from town to town Traversed canyons and wicked rivers He's getting older - not slowing down A little bit older - not slowing down Short goodbyes leave many questions What it was? What could have been? Hear her voice, she sings so sweetly Head like a bull, he's Boulder (or Bold and) bound Another night in a different town A woman's tears can be your prison They'll keep you around for too long Sometimes horizons can be so deceiving Don't you know you're wasting time? She waits for you, cries every night.
