I once wooed young Betty Sue and I sure fulfilled her needs
On the farm her Daddy left her, I planted and pulled weeds
I fed the cows, did every chore, pulled udders once or twice
And I won dear Betty's heart she said I plowed her field so nice
But Betty Sue would never cook and soon my stomach ached
With Annabelle I found a girl who not only cooked but baked
SweetAnnabelle, she won my heart by starting with my tummy
When she laid out her spread for me I found it all quite yummy

Thought I was pretty bright
Neither girl found out about the other I was seein'
Worked out great for me because I couldn't choose between 'em
So I plowed Betty's field by day but left the tractor sputterin'
To sneak off to sweet Annabelle's when her muffin needed butterin'
And everything was going well though Betty often wondered
Why the field near Annabelle's was so often plowed under
Tonight I brought dear Betty Sue in here for some libation
When in walked Annabelle and there ensued this altercation
