Story behind the song
At the south of the Massif Central in France, an area of limestone highlands is situated. Water and time have created overwhelming canyons: Gorges du Tarn, Jonte, Dourbie and Trevezel. These rivers force apart the highlands into four individualistic Causses: "Les Grands Causses". The imposing contrast between the deserted extensiveness on top of the highlands and the narrow more lively Gorges beneath, is very impressive. These two different worlds, unaware of each other but not existing without the other, are connected by awe-inspiring limestone rock formations: “sculptures of nature”.
