Original song by Terry Roberts
alternative indie acoustic piano chill synth korg covers cover songs triton
Artist picture
Mainly acoustic with a hint of piano with a touch of synth on the side
Time To Talk is the solo work of wannabe indie rockstar Terry Roberts. It's mostly covers of songs I liked at some point with a few originals thrown in. Some are ok, some not so much, but it's all in good fun. Recording is just a little hobby of mine and don't take it too seriously. I think I'm slowly getting a little better at it. Check back often, I try and post new stuff as much as I can. Leave me a comment. Tell me it sucks donkey balls or like you took a pile of horse crap and just shoved it in your ear. Thanks to everyone who listens! So far the download numbers have been pretty solid which is really cool! Any suggestions/tips/comments are welcome!

Story behind the song
No story, just wanted it to be about Carolina and have some beach references. I'm not one of those "I write my emotions in a song" type of person. Its the first song Ive done so I just wanted it to rhyme and flow kinda smoothly.
Lyrics
Woke up in the morning to an empty bed Trying to remember everything you said So I'll shut the blinds tightly to keep out all the light I saw your shadow pass then realized it was mine I sit and I wonder will this turn out ok... Did everything just change or is it all the same? I watch the sun rise off the Carolina coast I found myself but not what matters most Without you here, this place just ain't home I write your name in the sand to keep your memory But the waves crash in and wash it out to sea Take a drive baby, we can make this town our own Fading....memories Without you...here with me Don't worry I don't blame you, I'm the one that f****d this up They say you don't what you have until it's gone. I watch the sun rise off the Carolina coast I found myself but not what matters most Without you here, this place just ain't home. I write your name in the sand to keep your memory But the waves crash in and wash it out to sea Take a drive baby, we can make this town our own. So I'll take a step back (take a step back) and write it 1 more time So the waves can't reach or until the ocean dries. Waiting on the coast, the coast of Caroline I'll just count the days until you're mine. I'll be waiting on the coast, the coast of Caroline.
