Lyrics
Mainlining ( words and music by Ed Rhoades) You got me stone cold with fever And you took all my sleep away This can't go on forever, baby But it's gone on for one more day Won't you listen to me tonight You're the one this song's about And if I knew for sure you'd hear I swear it would help me out Now you may not write these scripts But you sure can play the part And everytime the curtain falls You're mainlining on my heart Saturdays can depress me especially if it rains And at the speed I'm traveling at I need more than sixteen lanes Won't you listen to me tonight You're the one this song's about And if I knew for sure you'd hear I swear it would help me out Now you may not write these scripts But you sure can play the part And everytime the curtain falls You're mainlining on my heart 㦠2003 Ed Rhoades

Just found out you passed brother. You were a talented songwriter. I enjoyed the time I spent working with you and your band Watertite. Rest in peace.
