I like the music of the late 60's and early 70's. To me they were times of creativity when it came to guitar playing and arrangements with different instruments

Story behind the song
The lyrics are taken from Psalm 107 and is called "Oh Give Thanks". I wrote this back when I was going to Grayslake Christian Fellowship back in 1978. This tune came without to much effort and just seemed to flow in the Lord. I never recorded it and thought this would be a good time to do that. This will be the 4th tune on a new CD I am working on with Lord's help "Come As You Are". Bless you all in Jesus Name.
Lyrics
Oh, Give Thanks Psalm 107ccccOh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is goodccHis loving kindness is foreverccHe sets the needy securely on highccHe sets the needy securely on high Away from afflictionccccThey wandered in the wilderness in a desert regionccThey did not find a way to an inhabited cityccThey were hungry and thirstyccThen they cried out to the Lord in their troubleccccSome sat in darknessccBeing bound with affliction and chainsccFor they rebelled against the word of GodccThey stumbled and fellccThen they cried out to the Lord in their troubleccccFools, in their rebellious waysccBecause of their iniquities were afflictedccThey abhorred all kinds of foodccAs they drew near to the gates of deathccThen they cried out to the Lord in their troubleccccGive us aid against the enemy Psalms 108:12-13ccFor the help of man is worthlessccWith God we will gain the victoryccAnd He will trample down our enemies
