You mean Demond's Bio, right? O.K., Music has been such a part of my life that I literally started singing even before I could talk. Don't believe me? Ask my mother, she'll tell you and she's always been opposed to me playing music. I was three years old and knew all the lyrics to The Spinners "Games People Play". As a teen, I taught myself how to play guitar and synthesizer in order to make the unique and unusual songs that I had been writing in my head for years before come to life. For many more years, I tried unsuccessfully to find like-minded musicians in RI who, like myself, wanted to create new and exciting styles of music from scratch. Instead, I only kept running into people who either wanted to sound exactly like whatever big grunge or alternative band was around at the time or copy their favorite bands and players note for note. So instead of settling for the status quo, I learned how to work a sequencer so I could completely build the songs I wrote. No more searching for other musicians now; as long as I'm in RI, I will be doing my own songs on my own. Now that I'm fast approaching 50 and that I'm clearly not in touch with the mainstream, American Idol, nu-rap, nu-country and Beyonce dominated music scene, I've decided to just stick to what I've always been into and throw it all in a blender. I am evolving musically but I'm following my own path at the same time.

Lyrics
Miss Aja Nation Verse 1 Hey Miss Aja Nation I hear you’re looking for a man You should give me a try At first you rolled your eyes You sucked your tongue and then you said You never date Black guys You’re sick and tired of brothas You said that we all dogged you You said the time, time is here today For you to try out something new I’ve seen this fever before How I wish there was a cure ‘Cause there’s one thing that’s crystal clear to me Chorus Your young heart is running away, yeah To a different colored mistah You’re supposed to be my sistah Verse 2 Hey Miss Aja Nation I wanna know the reason why You don’t love me no more I’m nothing like those guys It seems like you don’t even care You’re still declaring war You sold me down the river You tell me that you hate me And then you stand, stand next to the man Who has it in for you and me I’ve seen this fever before How I wish there was a cure ‘Cause there’s one thing that’s crystal clear to me Chorus Your young heart is running away To a different colored mistah You’re supposed to be my sistah Ending Chorus Your young heart is running away To a different colored mistah You’re supposed to be my sistah But you say he makes you happy And you’re moving up without me Run away (With your little heart) Running away (With your little heart) Run away
