Story behind the song
The opening 10 bars are taken as they are (as far as I can manage) from something I heard on True Blood S1E12. The black guy in Maryann's place was fiddling with his guitar and was cut short when Tara walked in on him. I expanded it along the surreal dreamy feel of that moment. UPDATE 29 Jul 09 : I had feedback that the strings didn't carry a melody and was so-called just doing the chords. My clarification is that this is intentional - to me, the main thing was what I heard on TV, which is the guitar strumming the chords. Hence, the violin is merely serving as an accompaniment to the chords. A sort of reversal of roles, I suppose. Thanks for listening.
