Story behind the song
A song built around a beatbox which was later replaced with a Superior Drummer MIDI track. A bit of a note here. The middle part with just the rain, thunder and bass line was wholly intentional. Just in case anyone was wondering. Sometimes it's more important what you don't play than what you do play.
Lyrics
Spring Rain
He brushes back
Her long black hair
She fills his eyes
With pain and despair
He traveled so far
To find the one
Prophesiezed
To bring back the sun
And the spring rain
His tears fall upon
Her ashen skin
The weight of the world
Rests upon him
Suddenly
He feels her stir
The beat of their hearts
Mingle
And then comes
The spring rain
The spring rain
Where life and love
Will flower again
And the spring rain
The spring rain
Where love and life
Will flower again
In the spring rain
Share your love
Your time won't last
Before you know
Your present 's past
Gotta make your intention
Or you'll be standing
On your own
You think you've learned
All you can do
Something's staring
Back at you
An echo of your pain
And strife
It's time you started
Living life
The spring rain
The spring rain
Where life and love
Will flower again
In the spring rain
The spring rain
Where love and life
Will flower again
In the spring rain
